In collaboration with the Goldhirsh Foundation and LA2050, we analyzed grant submissions to identify trends within the MyLA2050 Grants Challenge in 2013 and in 2014.  As strategic conversation catalyst and data scientist, Kate developed an impact framework, identified trends and highlighted themes that would facilitate systems level change.

Product Design Consultant,
WealLife, 2014-2015, 2018

Kate worked with the Weal Life founder and CEO, Keely Stevenson, to initiate product development for this portal to support caregivers. Combining the founder's vision with need finding research, Kate facilitated the initial stage of product development from concept to a working prototype.

As the NHS prepared to launch promote people powered health, Nesta UK, an innovation charity, convened a roundtable of diverse practitioners to share their views on "coproduction" or "people powered health."

dotHIV GmbH , Berlin 2012 - 2015

​As a pioneering social tech enterprise  in the top level domain (TLD) market that raised funds through its TLD venture for distribution through its foundation, dotHIV navigated new terrain with every aspects of its venture.  dotHIV'a mission was to fund grassroots initiatives, support neglected communities and build global technical infrastructure: with one common goal, the end of AIDS. Kate worked with co-founder and CEO Carolin Silbernagl to develop an advisory board, who supported the team to navigate the sensitive topic of HIV/AIDS and to realize the founding team's deep commitment to transparency, integrity and community powered engagement. 
  • Worked with this pioneering social enterprise to develop its values framework that informed policies, operations and crisis decision making
  • Supported the team navigate issues from concept stage through its first year post-launch
  • Consulted on systems design for community engagement, conflict management and foundation fund distribution.
