Interaction Design & Clinical Ethics

With experience in private, government, academic, non-profit sectors, Kate brings a systems understanding of health care to innovation initiatives. A social entrepreneur experienced in human-centered design of health care products and services, Kate designs technology and interactions that strengthen relationships-- focusing on clinician-patient partnerships.  

As health care ethicist-mediator, Kate consults on clinical and organizational ethics cases, quality improvement, clinical and organizational ethics consultation service development and ethics education.  Robust clinical and organizational ethics are tools to ensure excellence in patient care and to build trust in the provider-patient relationship. Kate empowers clinicians with reasoning, communication, advocacy and leadership skills necessary to promote their professionalism and outstanding patient care in a complex, challenging health care delivery system.
